The Audio-Technica Pro 42 is a low profile, wide-range surface microphone with a unidirectional pick up pattern. The unidirectional polar pattern minimizes off-axis sound and noise. A low-mass diaphragm design provides flat frequency, and superior sensitivity response characteristics. The Pro 42 features a permanently-attached miniature cable with an XLR-female connector. The microphone is powered from any external 9V to 52V DC phantom power source.
